The Romford Conservative Association showed its support for a referendum on the United Kingdom’s membership of the European Union by visiting the People’s Pledge stand at the recent Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham.
Andrew Rosindell M.P., Member of Parliament, was joined by the Chairman of the Romford Conservative Association, Cllr Osman Dervish, and Deputy Chairman, Sandy Tanner.
Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:
“It is wrong that no one under the age of 55 has had the opportunity to vote on our relationship with Europe – and those that did get to vote in 1975 voting for a trading agreement, not the European Union we have today.
Our ancestors did not fight for to uphold the Union Flag and to defend our freedom and democracy, only for it to be slowly ebbed away by politicians and miscellaneous bureaucrats.
Polls show that 70 per cent of Britons want a referendum on our relationship with the European Union.
It is high time that the government faces the overwhelming support there is across the United Kingdom for a referendum on the European Union.”
