The Romford Conservatives and Andrew Rosindell M.P. strongly oppose the decision to reduce the 24-hour front counter service at Romford Police Station. This vital facility provides immediate, face-to-face support when residents need it most.
Under the proposed changes, opening hours would be limited to 10.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m. on weekdays and 9.00 a.m.– 7.00 p.m. on weekends. This leaves our community vulnerable, especially late at night, when people returning home or in urgent need would have no local, in-person help.
We are calling on Sadiq Khan (The Mayor of London) and Sir Mark Rowley (Commissioner of the Met Police) to:
· Maintain a fully staffed 24/7 front desk at Romford
· Ensure all residents have access to essential policing services at any hour
· Recognise that online or telephone support cannot replace in-person assistance in emergencies
Sign this petition today and join the Romford Conservatives and Andrew Rosindell M.P. in defending our Romford’s safety and access to local policing.
